"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul" Alfred Austin

Music of the Day I
( Skipping the Matinee Performance)

Dew drips
Drops
Litter in the lawn
Like notes
On sheet music.

It's for the overture
The Daily Overture

Pipers fidget
Branch to branch
The conductor peeks
A golden face
He is pleased,
It begins.
Strikes on the upbeat
Pizzicato,
Beep, beep!
The audience is ruffled
And, with a roar
Applause slams down.
Rest.
The audience hushing,
Fussing,
Discretely rustling rose
And cascades of bed sheets
Left their seats
Marching upwards.

Within a few blinks,
And twists
The auditorium
Was again empty
Ticket sales were few
Anyway
See you later
This evening.

Music of the Day II
(Evening Gig)

Coffee swirls
With milky trails
There's chit chat
Chatter:
The backing vocals
And the cling clap
Clinging
Of teaspoons:
Percussion.

The sun is melting
With vanilla trails
Light posts bow
Pensive poets:
Lyricists of light
And the stripes of rain
On windows
And wavy contours:
The upright bass.

It is tranquil.
There is jazz.
